Use 3 words to describe what snowboarding means to you:
Fun, Awesome, Addicting
You’ve had a banger comp season 2009/2010. What were the highlights and why?
Yea I had a pretty fun time traveling around to all the different events. Probably the biggest highlight was getting second at X Games. That’s something I’ve dreamt about for a long time.
What’s it like riding for Todd Richards’ snowboard company Omatic?
Todd is an awesome guy, super funny and a real cool guy to work with. But I think its about time we put him in a nursing home.
Which snowboarding trick gives you the most pleasure and are there any new ones you’re working on?
It’s always a good feeling to learn new tricks and keep progressing with the sport. The tricks just keep getting crazier and crazier so who knows what i’ll learn next.
What are your goals for next Northern hemi winter & will you be heading out to NZ again?
I pretty much want to do the same thing I did this year. Travel to as many comps as I can and just have fun doing it. And I don’t think I’m going down to New Zealand, I at lest want to have a little bit of a summer.
Who has the best style in snowboarding in your opinion?
I would have to say Mikkel Bang. He never has a hand out of place. It doesn’t matter if he’s doing a 360 or 1080, he puts the sickest style on everything he does.
Where do you envisage the sport and lifestyle of snowboarding to be in say, 10 years time?
There will be 12 year olds doing double corks, everyone and there mom will still be obsessed with Shaun White, and snowboarders will be getting paid less by their sponsors because people will just be getting more greedy.
What did you have for dinner?
I had some awesome ribs with corn on the cob and potato salad.
Do you have any words of wisdom for aspiring riders wanting to ‘go pro’?
Just do it for fun and everything will fall into place. And don’t let people take advantage of you.
