Wyatt enjoys Camp of Champions Whistler
Camp was awesome this year to match the whole season its self the cherry on top. great weather, great features, great people and a lot of fun and laughs. i was lucky enough to have Beau Bishop as a coach, 1 of the best I’ve had (apart from sunshine coaches, shout out) he helped a lot on and off the hill almost got into a pretty sweet party ha ha.

Greatest summer out there so far met a bunch of new people from all over great for my couch surfing plan after high school. Can’t wait for this sason and next summer at C.O.C.

PS. Wyatt was having so much FUN at C.O.C that he didn’t get any shots from Camp. So, here are some from Sunshine Village, Banff Canada.

Lauren competing up a storm
I recently competed in the USASA nationals held in Copper Mountain Colorado.
Through out the Northern winter I competed in the Rocky Mountain Series in both Copper Mountain and Winter Park. In order to qualify for the Nationals you must compete in 3 USASA events. I won all three of the pipe comps I did which put me in first place for the series in pipe. And I won one Slope Style comp and came second in the other two Slope competitions putting me in second for Slope.

I went into Nationals seated second in the country for Pipe and 8th for Slope. In Slope Style my plan was to put down a safety run first, I had been landing back 3′s all week so I tried one in my first run and crashed. No other girls span so I thought if I tried again in my second run I could have a pretty good chance of doing well, In my second run I landed the Back 3, and went into first place. I won by 2 points.
In pipe I put down a good safety run which scored me an 86.66 with this under my belt I decided to step it up for my second run which I landed and scored a 90.66 both of these runs would have put me in first place winning by 9 points.
This season I also met all criteria to get a spot on the Australia Junior World Cup team held in August in New Zealand. My results from the Revolution tour stop in Mt Snow Vermont (6th in slope, 8th in pipe) were enough to meet the criteria for Ski and Snowboard Australia and hopefully get me a spot onto the Junior Worlds team. All in all it was a great season. And I am looking forward to Junior Worlds and what the Australian Season will bring.

Tommo getting some Japow
BSA Australian shred Sean ‘Tommo’ Thompson has been enjoying some Japow. Japan is known for powder, but there are some pretty decent jibs too. Here are a couple of shots from Tommo’s Japan land adventures. Enjoy.

So- I made it to Banff, Alberta in Canada and wow what a place!! The vibe is like a mix somewhere between Wanaka (NZ) and Queenstown (NZ) and I LOVE IT!! People are amazing, surroundings are breath taking and the mountains definitely hold there own that’s for sure!!
Had my first comp last week which was the Norquay rail jam that runs throughout the season which was my first win but last Saturday the 13th we had the Billabong Flaunt it ALL GIRLS tour come right to our door step again at Mt Norquay and here are some pic’s courtesy of photographers Katherine Calnan and Jan Davies……
Weather prevailed nicely and the snow and cloud predicted kindly gave way to a HOT, sunny day!! No matter what happened it was going to be a great day!!
Billabong Flaunt It consists of a slopestyle and a rail jam all in one day and is one of the funnest events I’ve done yet- I just love jam format (can have as many runs as you like in a certain amount of time, best run wins)
Us ladies scoping out the course from the chair lift…
A wee switch board slide-check out hot pink bibs!
All competitors got our own V.I.P lift line…. yeah thats what I’m talking about! Comes in handy on the family day public hoilday weekend here in Alberta.
Back 360 nose snatcher!
Such a wicked turn out of ladies, believe we had a grand total of 28! Was so good to see so many of us destoryn the park at the same time…. with pink bibs on… haha.
I’ve never had so much fun on one box before – it was the best! Switch tail slide switch up to front nose slide…
I say it in a good way it was like a beautiful spring day but man was it hot hiking in the rail jam!!!
Front 360 indy…
Front 180 switch 50 back 180 out! This box was seriously asking for us to empty our hole bag of tricks out on it… so we did.
Rail jam podium finish… cash, money, money!!
Slopestyle podium finish
Once again not a bad day in the office at all….

Rider update: LAUREN STAVELEY
I’ve been shredding summit county since december 5th. It has been alot of fun Breck and copper both have sick parks up.
I have done a couple of comps over here. The first was slope and pipe in the Rocky Mountain Series at Copper Mountain. I took first place in both events for the girls 14-15 division which I was stoked on.
Then I traveled to Mt Snow in Vermont to compete in the Rev tour I took 8th place in pipe and for slope I qualified with a 4th but in finals landed in 6th place.
Just this weekend I did the gatorade freeeflow tour in Keystone I was signed up to do both slope and pipe but due to bad weather the pipe was cancelled which I was pretty bummed about but slope was alot of fun, I took third place and Michaela Davis-meehan took second which was great to have two aussies on the podium!.
Hope your keeping up the shred!
